| Pianella Studios, a 4,800-square-foot scoring facility, sits atop a mountain overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Malibu California. Oscar nominated film composer Marco Beltrami (The Hurt Locker, 3:10 to Yuma, and the remake of The Thing) decided to build the kind of facility that would provide him a place to compose, record and mix final score recordings. Designed under the supervision of Abbey Road Studios alumnus John Kurlander, the stage offers a 2.3-second reverb time and the Control Room configured as a 7.1 dubbing theater. |
